Meet SuperGirl
Supergirl will appear in Smallville’s seventh season, beginning with the season premiere and lasting seven or more episodes. She will be played by a fairly unknown actress, Laura Vandervoort. According to producer Alfred Gough, Kara was sent from Krypton at the same time as was Kal-El, but has been in suspended animation for the past 16 years. As the daughter of Zor-El, she is Clark’s Kryptonian cousin. Supergirl will have the same powers as Clark, with the addition of flight.
Just another reason to check out Smallville this fall! I can’t wait for one of the best SuperMan series to return to television. Is Chloe dead? (let’s hope so.) Will Lois do more strip teases? (no doubt.) Is Lana really dead? (nope, she ducked into another car when the truck obscured Lionel’s view.) Will Bizarro Superman reign supreme? (uh… no.) Will Clark stop being a pansy? (uh… no.)
